Melitta Swirl | Innovation Contest

The NATURE SCENT CONSERVATORY is a small greenhouse bottle that conserves small redolent plants such is peppermint and basil. The base section of the conservatory includes apertures so as to intersperse the fresh smell and help avoiding disagreeable kitchen and food smells.

The solution consists in the transfer of the 'greenhouse' technology to a small scale construction, and the innovation stands for the channels of smell distribution to the outside room space.
The base compartment enveloppes a solid bio-material that unhooks from the bottom of the 'box' and receives water in fixed time. A special vaporization and hydration process creates the conditions for the plant maintaining for some period. By slightly pressing the base compartement a scented evaporation is released to the room.
In addition it promotes ecological design and does not make use of chemical or any harmful material.

The proposed solution is a small scale and easy-to-use home appliance. It promotes ecological awareness and contributes to the advancement of domestic environment.

Nice design - I have the same question though: Wouldn't I need to provide the pant with water? How does it get Oxygen?

Outstanding idea! I just think that peppermint or basil are not good plants for this role because they doesn't emit that large amount of fresh scent to neutralize the odors. Something like bonsai lavander will do much better! :D Or other bonsai perfumed plants. Neccie

it's nice idea. but will it really work? seems to be very small. maybe to small to avoid a lot? Konni

thanks.size was a question to me but i preferred to keep it as a small experimental appliance. the plant would grow as a bonsai like Neccie mentioned above with the idea of lavander, very good alternative evita-r
